英名：Red Knot

形態(tài)：小型涉禽，體長23-25cm。嘴較短而直，腳亦甚短。體較粗胖。夏季上體灰褐色具黑色中央紋，背具棕栗色、白色斑紋和羽緣，頭側和整個下體栗紅色。冬季棕紅色消失，上體灰色，頭具細窄的黑色縱紋，背具細的黑色羽干紋和白色羽緣。下體白色，頰至胸具灰褐色縱紋。

虹膜褐色；嘴黑色；腳綠色。

分布：中國東部沿海地區(qū)有分布。在保護區(qū)屬不常見的旅鳥。

習性：繁殖于北極凍原地帶，冬季棲息于沿海海岸、河口等地。喜沙灘、沿海灘涂及河口。通常群居，常結大群活動。進食時嘴快速下啄，有時為取食把整個頭都埋進去。主要軟體動物、甲殼類等小型無脊椎動物為食。
