英名：Velvet Scoter

形態(tài)：大型鴨類，體長48-61cm。雄鳥通體黑色，眼后有一半月形白斑，紅色嘴基有黑色瘤，翼鏡白色，飛翔時極明顯。雌鳥通體暗褐色，耳部和上嘴基部各有一圓形白斑，翼鏡白色。

虹膜褐色；嘴灰色；腳灰色。

分布：中國東北及東部沿海地區(qū)有分布。在保護區(qū)屬偶見的旅鳥，近10年內(nèi)沒有監(jiān)測到。

習性：繁殖于內(nèi)陸淡水湖泊和水庫中，冬季多棲息在沿海海域。通過潛水捕食，主要以魚類、水生昆蟲、甲殼類、軟體動物等為食。

ID: Large duck.Body length 48-61cm.Breeding male glossy black， with neat white crescent below and rear of eye， black knob on base of red bill， and large white wing patch prominent in flight.Female uniform dark brown， with pale oval patches near bill base and on ear coverts； also has white wing patch.

BP: Eyes brown； bill grey； tarsi grey.

SD: Accidental in migration.No record in recent 10 years.

H H: Breeds in inland freshwater lakes and reservoirs， and winters at coastal areas.Dives to feed mainly on fish， aquatic insects， molluscs and crustaceans.
