形態(tài)：小型鳥類，體長13-16cm。雄鳥頭頂、腰、喉、胸紅色或洋紅色，背、肩褐色或橄欖褐色，羽緣沾紅色，兩翅和尾黑褐色，羽緣沾紅色。雌鳥上體灰褐或橄欖褐色、具暗色縱紋，下體白色或皮黃白色、亦具黑褐色縱紋。

虹膜深褐色；嘴角褐色；腳褐色。

分布：中國大部分地區(qū)有分布。在保護區(qū)屬常見的旅鳥和冬候鳥。

習性：棲息于低山丘陵的疏林中，越冬期在果園、農(nóng)田、村落附近可見。以植物性食物為主。
