一、“花兒”譯賞
1.保安人的腰刀砸著響(者)哩
藍(lán)藍(lán)的天上白云跳著哩,
白云下邊羊群走著哩,
羊群里擋羊娃的鞭炮飛著哩,
保安人的腰刀砸著響(者)哩。

保安族是甘肅特有的少數(shù)民族,有語言沒有文字。保安語中漢語借詞很多,其民間文學(xué)有宴席曲、哭嫁歌等,“花兒”有保安曲令。
這首“花兒”寫了保安族的天、保安族的地與保安族人民的勞動和生活。藍(lán)藍(lán)的天上白云飄,白云下面羊群跑,擋羊娃娃的鞭炮沒有聲音,卻扔得很遠(yuǎn)很遠(yuǎn),原來這鞭炮是遠(yuǎn)程阻擋羊群的工具,就是用繩子甩的趕羊鞭。
保安族的腰刀一般是食用餐具,不是武器。它是保安族的精美工藝品,譽滿中外。保安腰刀是保安族的驕傲,保安族的精神,保安族的氣質(zhì)。

清悠悠,
穿過花兒故鄉(xiāng)河州城里頭,
花兒故鄉(xiāng)花兒稠,
三歲娃娃哼著花兒走。

大夏河確實清悠悠地淌過“花兒”的故鄉(xiāng)河州城?!昂铀逵啤?、“花兒稠”、“三歲娃娃哼著花兒走”,一副動態(tài)畫面?!俺怼毕褡骷椅膶W(xué)常用詞,“哼著花兒走”才是民間文學(xué)的俗話。
3.蘭州的茯茶(哈)喝慣了
蘭州的茯茶(哈)喝慣了,
尕紙煙抽成個癮了,
你的這里來慣了,
不來時由不得我了。
DRINKING THE BRICK TEA…

“不來由不得我了”,這就是愛情的魔力。愛情是藏不住的,拴不住,也砍不掉的怪物。其實,愛情是人生一段漫長的路程,情人們起初牽著手走,末了還要攙扶著走,要學(xué)會走這段路需要很多、很多。

農(nóng)民生活改變了,
頓頓吃開長飯了,
長飯又連肉拌了。

這里所反映的是以人為本的政策改變了人民的生活,同時也提出了人民民俗心理意識,民間文學(xué)與民俗學(xué)有著密切的關(guān)系。民間文學(xué)的美也在于它與語言學(xué)、方言學(xué)、民族學(xué)、民俗學(xué)、政治經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)交織在一起,滲透著各種學(xué)科的養(yǎng)分。

虛名聲(哈)這么大了。

哎!花兒本是尕俗話,
河州是花兒的老家。

這是首洮岷州民歌。它的主題既在字面上又在詩歌意境里,像賦,直敘事物,實則是一賦到底的興。它興生機(jī),興生命的繼續(xù),又提升到詩的愛情境界里。

牛郎星格外亮了,
尕妹的模樣長全了,

眉毛(哈)香頭(啦)畫了。

這是“花兒”河州三令曲調(diào),可獨唱,可合唱,可隨時即興地對唱,具有廣泛的民族性和群眾性?!鞍⒏绲娜庋健笔且r詞,是對方的愛稱,是音樂的需要,是情感的需要。用香頭畫眉是特定環(huán)境里的特定性格,是民俗生活,反映了民俗學(xué)在民歌中的價值和作用。

這首是洮岷州“花兒”,一般三句話,四、五句以上的少,從這些長短句中我們可以看到樂詞的影子。
這里的“魂”是愛情的希望和延伸的藝術(shù)表現(xiàn)手段。蓮花山“花兒”的地方特色是格律平穩(wěn)、聲調(diào)高昂,有典型的野曲風(fēng)味。

蓮花山“花兒”的第一句是倒順詞句,主要起韻律作用。“倒一搭”、“葉不跌”是主題句,樸實純真,具有人格美。

這首“花兒”尾句擴(kuò)充,又像突出襯句,重復(fù)唱詞,加深感情,使語句起伏,演唱靈活?!皊he herself is here but her thought is elsewhere”(她人在這兒心不在),心不在這兒就是思想不在。

這是一首新“花兒”。是運用“現(xiàn)成詞組”(包括方言、土語)寫就的花兒。運用大量“現(xiàn)成詞組”,是口頭文學(xué)創(chuàng)作的特點,這可以加速民間文學(xué)特別是民歌的創(chuàng)作速度。

“尕肉兒”是對女方的愛稱,如“阿哥的肉”。尕豆能自滾,尕肉兒能哄人,并不新鮮,新鮮的是“尕豆兒”和“尕肉兒”富有的強烈感情。“尕”是俗語的叫法,表示小巧玲瓏、可愛,用俗語表達(dá)自然質(zhì)樸,情深含蓄。

這是首洮岷州傳統(tǒng)“花兒”。第一句是提韻詞語,后兩句的末三字整齊地押韻,“下來了”、“咋來了”很平穩(wěn)自然?!罢砹恕?,方言,干什么來了之意。

河里頭清不過漠泥溝河,
河邊里馬五哥坐過。
我哭(啥)的眼淚沒給人說,
艱辛(者)眼淚把大路(哈)漫過。
MONIGOU RIVER IS CLEARER THAN…

Brother mawu sat by the river.

這首“花兒”選自《馬五哥和尕豆妹》,通過心靈和行為刻畫表現(xiàn)了回族女性特有的內(nèi)在品格。她善良,多情,熱愛生活,渴望自由愛情,敢于與惡勢力抗?fàn)?,甚至犧牲?/p>
21.烏鴉溝(哎)花兒灘
烏鴉溝(哎)花兒灘,

眼淚擦在袖口尖,
三伏天里曬不干。

這是首隴東花兒,是洮岷花兒的變體,第一句為比興,二三句是主題。

“絲線(哈)扎成枕頭了”、“婚姻扎穩(wěn)了”這些方言背后常常包含著當(dāng)?shù)氐娘L(fēng)俗習(xí)慣。河州的姑娘結(jié)婚前娘家人要扎好枕頭并給婆家主要成員做好鞋。因為是方言習(xí)俗,這些話語沒有造作,沒有修飾,憑胸直臆,形象生動,是最自然最原始的話語。我們可以從近距離觀察到當(dāng)時特定社會的特定環(huán)境里的精神狀態(tài)和人物的典型性格。

這是首洮岷州式的隴東六盤山區(qū)的回族“花兒”,結(jié)構(gòu)頓數(shù)整齊有力?!靶睦镉性挍]處說”是潛在的沒有情人的情歌,這也是絲綢之路上的“干腔花兒”。這里的文化,經(jīng)過融合、沖撞的印象明顯,這是洮岷州“花兒”向東的變種??梢钥闯?,“花兒”在甘肅的腳步邁得很大。

天上拉云地扯霧,
霧淹住了峽口子,
尕妹是綢子阿哥是布,
布怎么配上綢子。

“天上拉云地扯霧”,說它是“花兒”的尕俗話可以,說它是作家文學(xué)語言也可以,作家文學(xué)常常是民間文學(xué)的沃土中生長出來的,民間文學(xué)與作家文學(xué)的關(guān)系是你中有我,我中有你。峽口子就是峽彎,峽彎在這里的“fiord”為挪威詞語。

花兒中常用些對稱對偶等描寫手法以加強語句的映襯感和主體感,這里阿哥與尕妹、陽山與陰山、白藤條與紅櫻桃、千年與萬年均為對偶對稱,使結(jié)構(gòu)顯得整齊,讀來頗有韻味。

樸實的老百姓早就懂得真正的美是心靈的美、氣質(zhì)的美。An onion bulb是蔥頭,一般認(rèn)為是蔥根,maintain popular morale是交有心之人即有品德的人。由此可見,一首古老的民歌卻有嶄新的思想。

天爺陰(者)雨要下,
石頭上麻拉拉的。
跟前跟后你沒話,

阿哥長的是金嗓子,
尕妹長的是銀嗓子,
豁牙的口口里唱曲子,
回聲(哈)繞過了山彎子。

不像“花兒”是沒有“花兒”的方言土話,卻有“花兒”的襯間“尕姑舅親”,這是“花兒”的延伸。“尕姑娘羞(者)不敢說出嘴”,這是地道的“花兒”語言。文學(xué)的感情總能在不同文學(xué)形式中滲透出來。

“花兒”是人民的心聲,出門人的歌,用政治的斧子是砍不掉的。改革開放是經(jīng)濟(jì)的,也是文化的,包括“花兒”在內(nèi)?!靶纳系幕▋旱贸?,大海翻開波浪了”,人們可用自己最易表達(dá)感情的方式,向社會大聲喊話了。我們有權(quán)利,我們有自由,我們有發(fā)言權(quán)。
“翻開波浪”譯為to be rough。

“花兒”常常以具體地名、具體事物、具體風(fēng)貌“興”說開。炳靈寺是位于永靖縣的北魏石窟。“石佛靠崖坐著哩”,“尕妹跟我著笑者哩”,把感情心態(tài)用“笑”提升到神圣的境界,有力、可貴地顯示了日常生活的社會價值,以及“笑”在愛情中的價值。

臨夏花兒中有六句的,實際是四句的變體,有稱謂“折斷腰式”,即一、二句之間加重復(fù)詞組,三、四句之間亦是,以頓數(shù)強化感情,促進(jìn)音樂性。這首民歌歌詞帶有迷信色彩。
“拿上黃表……拿上香”,“進(jìn)廟去”,“要吃個不罷的咒哩”,這表示對愛情堅貞不變的心態(tài),“上香”“吃咒”雖有宗教色彩,卻是嚴(yán)肅的、神圣的。愛情是人的,卻望神管,以顯示愛情的偉大和神圣。

不死是這個唱法”。
因此,人們對這個“花兒”會,很重視,山場也法碼了?!胺ùa”為方言,盛況空前之意。這里最活躍的不光是青年,一些姑娘們一反昔日羞澀心態(tài),把辮子一甩唱道:
“石花門開開干枝梅
少年是鵓鴿(者)天空里飛
花兒(拉)搭上個對對”。
85.走小康的路哩
太子山高積石山陡,
崎嶇的路,
這條路是通北京(者)哩。
鎖南壩是個山又是個城,
種的洋芋,
走小康的路(者)哩。

這是首新“花兒”,積石山在臨夏自治州,保安族聚居于此。鎖南壩在臨夏自治州東鄉(xiāng)自治縣,東鄉(xiāng)族聚居于此。東鄉(xiāng)豐產(chǎn)洋芋,并走出了國門。
86.不唱花兒由不得自家
花兒本是心上的話,
不唱是由不得自家。
刀子拿來頭(哈)割下,
不死時還是這個唱法。

好政策的出發(fā)點是以人為本,落腳點是人民的幸福生活。為政之道,貴在為民,民為貴政則通。經(jīng)濟(jì)轉(zhuǎn)型期,首先人民得到好處,這首“花兒”為新民歌,是人民的心聲。民歌扎根于現(xiàn)實生活,總要表現(xiàn)生活。民歌是該民族與執(zhí)行政策的政治團(tuán)體的臍帶。民歌是民族的,也是政治團(tuán)體的,愈是民族的愈是世界的。
這里慣用了“花兒”的“興、比”手法,行式對稱、整齊。詩行停頓,歌句重復(fù),相同或相似,顯示了“花兒”節(jié)奏的音樂性。

這首歌以“看”、“辭”、“捎”、“托”方式傳送信息,充滿愛情的信息,四句末尾均用一個“來”字,有語感、有音韻。

河州城里抓了個壯丁。

“娘老子的心痛著地上滾,四鄉(xiāng)里動了哭聲”,這是真實情況,誰也涂不掉的歷史畫面。

“花兒”疊詞常見。在翻譯中,必須熟悉兩種語言在同義詞語中的不同表現(xiàn)形式。在英語中形容詞多用“A+A”形式,如wide and wide,各詞重疊多用。
“N+S”形式,如slices,傳統(tǒng)的、嚴(yán)格韻律的民歌是正統(tǒng)的,但“花兒”也需要輕騎隊式的發(fā)展。

好牡丹應(yīng)該長在自己門前的土里,好夫妻應(yīng)該說是白頭到老,這是古今中外一致的愿望?!癵ood man and wife”是固定詞組,好夫妻之意。這是一首折腰式結(jié)構(gòu)“花兒?!?/p>

在愛情領(lǐng)域里“花兒”也是求愛的一聲問候,深深的一鞠躬?!盎▋骸痹谌藗兊男撵`中,有時是一種禮儀、禮節(jié)。

這是《馬五哥與尕豆妹》中的詩句?!恶R五哥與尕豆妹》是廣泛流傳在河州的戀愛悲劇,作品描繪了他們對愛情的堅貞不屈,頑強的斗志和對婚姻自由的追求。它之所以產(chǎn)生于河州,這是事件本身決定的,更重要的是歌詞與曲調(diào)接受了“花兒”,沒有“花兒”就不可能產(chǎn)生“馬五哥與尕豆妹”敘事長詩。

“花兒”最常用的修辭手法是“興”、“比”?!氨取北仨氁N切,即從現(xiàn)實的生動生活行為中顯示其實質(zhì)的東西,這首歌的“干柴”、“火”、“肝花兒”,緊緊抓住兩個相似相依畫面,形象、生動,以事寓理,以情感人。

這里腳韻都用“哩”,“哈者”、“哈了”、“哩”都是虛字,作襯字用,與古代戲曲中的用法相同,有語法和音樂作用。

手拉手(著)望青天。
妹妹盼著晴天下大雨,

植物用“水”,婚姻用“理”,更重要的是要靠自身的發(fā)展,“水”只能促長,“理”只能指引,萬物在發(fā)展中成長。

這是一首新民歌,進(jìn)城民工拿到工資,體現(xiàn)黨的關(guān)懷、政府的好政策?!鞍⒏珙I(lǐng)著工資回家了”,“尕妹妹高興著笑了”,人在歡笑,山在歡笑。這首民歌用了過去式,若用現(xiàn)在完成時也可,時間從過去開始,一直到現(xiàn)在延續(xù)下去。

“喜鵲”、“盤窩”、“坐月子”都是好事,如此歌頌愛情,有現(xiàn)實,有希望。to confine意為“坐月子”;nesting,找巢,做窩。如是歌頌愛情,心底踏實。
