表示瘋或精神不正常的說法很多，比如nuts，crazy以及insane等。nut的意思是“堅果；螺母，螺帽；難解的問題”。但是nut同時又是一個帶有貶義的俚語，指“發(fā)瘋的人，瘋子”。

復數(shù)nuts通常用來指“精神錯亂狀態(tài)”。除此之外，還有“發(fā)瘋的”或“胡說，無中生有”等意思，如：
