閱讀是人們獲取信息的最重要途徑，在高中英語教學中，閱讀是語言學習的重要環(huán)節(jié)，也是語言運用的重要方面。新課標要求高中畢業(yè)時，學生的閱讀量除教材外，應達到30萬字以上。因此，必須加強學生閱讀興趣的培養(yǎng)和閱讀能力的提升。在高三復習過程中，對學生閱讀能力的提升是復習效率高低的重要體現(xiàn)。對于學生閱讀能力的復習提升，我們也可以使用情境與運用相結合的方法。

如在復習必修五第四單元（Model IV Unit4 Body Language）課文Show our feelings時，讓學生瀏覽課文后，我做了兩個假設：Supposewe are in America，I’ll show you several gestures of body language，please tell me the meaning of these gestures.學生答出后，我又說Suppose two people meet at their friend’s party.One is a Brazilian，the other is a Danish.What will happen?Discuss in group of four，then perform one situation tous.
