至此，在最近不到三個(gè)月的時(shí)間內(nèi)，江蘇多家在國(guó)內(nèi)享有盛名的大型制造企業(yè)悄然完成了大規(guī)模資產(chǎn)重組，涉及資產(chǎn)都在十幾億元以上。去年12月底，面對(duì)激烈的汽車市場(chǎng)競(jìng)爭(zhēng)，上汽與南汽實(shí)現(xiàn)我國(guó)汽車史上規(guī)模最大的一次資產(chǎn)重組，從而加快打造具有世界競(jìng)爭(zhēng)力的大型汽車企業(yè)，參與國(guó)際汽車市場(chǎng)競(jìng)爭(zhēng)。中國(guó)“鞋王”森達(dá)將其制鞋業(yè)務(wù)全部出讓給百麗，從此將全力進(jìn)入能源領(lǐng)域。江蘇最大的工業(yè)企業(yè)沙鋼集團(tuán)收購(gòu)永鋼集團(tuán)緊接著又邁出國(guó)門收購(gòu)了南美一家鋼鐵企業(yè)。

經(jīng)濟(jì)界人士認(rèn)為:目前頻繁發(fā)生在大型制造企業(yè)之間的大規(guī)模資產(chǎn)整合一方面說(shuō)明我國(guó)制造業(yè)經(jīng)過(guò)幾十年充分發(fā)展，目前已到了規(guī)模效益期，整合能降低成本避免重復(fù)投資，從而具備或增加與國(guó)際企業(yè)競(jìng)爭(zhēng)的資本。譬如美的:2007年實(shí)現(xiàn)凈利潤(rùn)11.93億，計(jì)劃在2010年實(shí)現(xiàn)1 000億銷售收入，收購(gòu)小天鵝股份將極大提高其在洗衣機(jī)行業(yè)市場(chǎng)占有率和品牌影響力，加快做大做強(qiáng)白色家電產(chǎn)業(yè)。

另一方面也喻示著經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)達(dá)的江蘇，產(chǎn)業(yè)升級(jí)正在加速，小天鵝的股權(quán)轉(zhuǎn)讓表明以無(wú)錫為代表的蘇南地區(qū)產(chǎn)業(yè)結(jié)構(gòu)導(dǎo)向開始悄然發(fā)生變化。

Midea Electric buys 24%stake in Little Swan

Guangdong-based Midea Electric Appliances Co．，China's largest publicly traded maker of household goods，bought a 24-percent stake in Wuxi Little Swan Co．to become the washing-machine maker's biggest shareholder．

The deal was signed on February 26 between Midea and Wuxi Guolian Development(Group)Co．Ltd．，the controlling shareholder of Little Swan．It ended a nearly three-week bidding battle between Midea，Sichuan Changhong Electric Co．，the country's second-largest maker of televisions and Italy's Indesit，a leading home-appliance maker in Europe．Midea paid 1.68 billion yuan or US!235 million for 87.7 million Little Swan shares，raising its stake to 29 percent．Midea bought the stake at an average of 19.16 yuan a share， according to Bloomberg News．That's a 13-percent discount to Little Swan's 21.90 yuan price on January 11．Changhong quit the bidding as it felt the price was too high while Guolian also demanded a cash purchase．

Midea plans to expand as higher wages and China's surging real-estate market boosts demand for refrigerators，washing machines and air conditioners．Midea is now China's second largest household air conditioner manufacturer and has recently started to enter the refrigerator and washing machine fields．Retail sales in China，the world's fastest-growing major economy，rose 17 percent last year．

Midea said in previous statements that the acquisition will further optimize and improve the company's strategy in the white goods industry．For Midea，buying Little Swan would be faster than developing its own washing-machine brand．

In the past three months，several renowned giant manufacturing enterprises in East China's Jiangsu Province underwent significant changes in companies' capital structure．Over one billion yuan of assets were involved in each recapitalization．

Shanghai Automobile Industry Corporation or SAIC，the largest carmaker in China，acquired the vehicle and core auto parts operations of Nanjing Automobile Corporation or NAC under a 286 million USD deal at the end of 2007．This has been the largest recapitalization ever made in China's auto history．

SAIC and NAC both have a car brand based on the classic British marque，Roewe and MG respectively．SAIC will be using the Longbridge plant as a stepping stone into Europe and other overseas markets．

Meanwhile，Jiangsu Sengda Group，one of the top shoe manufacturers in China，has sold its shoe-making business to Belle，another famous shoemaker in the nation，and has prepared to tap into the energy sector．Shagang Steel，Jiangsu's largest industrial enterprise，has successfully acquired a steel business in Latin America following its acquisition of Yonggang Group Co．Ltd．

Accordingtoeconomists，thelarge-scalerecapitalizationamonggiant manufacturing enterprises indicates that the country's manufacturing industry has entered the scale efficiency stage after decades of rapid development．Midea is a case in point．The company registered a net profit of 1，193 million yuan in 2007，and plans to reach a sales revenue of 100 billion yuan by the year 2010．The acquisition will further optimize and improve the company's strategy in the white goods industry．

On the other hand，the move is a reflection of the accelerated upgrading of industrial structure and it also implies that the industrial structure of South Jiangsu is undergoing a change．

Jiangsu releases private enterprise CSR statistics

The Industry and Commerce Federation of East China's Jiangsu Province releases on Thursday authoritative statistics about the Corporate Social Responsibility or CSR undertaken by privately-run enterprises across the province．

The figures illustrate in a detailed way the social responsibility commitments of the private sector to the employees，environmental protection，public welfare，and so on．

A total of 7，384 private enterprises in Jiangsu have answered the questionnaire survey since August，2007．The survey is intended to provide an overview of the private sector's way of integrating the economic，social，and environmental imperatives of their activities．

According to the statistics，private enterprises have become the major provider of employment in the province，creating about 80 percent of all the new jobs．2.6 million employees in the 7，384 companies surveyed are migrant workers and layoffs，accounting for 86 percent of the total．

Figures also show the province's private sector injected a total of 2.97 billion yuan into employee training from 2001 to the end of 2006，an average investment of 400，000 yuan for each business．92 percent of 6，789 enterprises sign job contracts with their employees，1.6 percentage points higher than the provincial level．

857，000 new jobs were created from 1994 to 2006 by all the private enterprises surveyed，lifting 860，000 people out of poverty，statistics show．About 6.69 billion yuan was donated to charity endeavors during the 13 years，benefiting more than 5 million people．

Jiangsu firms run steadily in Qtr.1

Enterprises in East China's Jiangsu Province are reporting stable production in operation during the first quarter of 2008，according to the latest statistics released last Friday．

Affected by the RMB appreciation as well as price hikes in raw materials and energy，the enterprise prosperity index，which reflects the operation status of micro-entities，was recorded as 132.5，down 7.42 points from the previous quarter．The entrepreneur confidence index reported 135.03，a drop of 1.83 points．

Experts said the two indexes remained high in spite of declines in the first three months．It shows that the economic environment for business operation in the province remains stable．

Figures indicate the economic growth of Jiangsu was greatly spurred by consumption during the first quarter．Consumer sectors such as wholesale and retail and service industry registered 149.22 and 147.01 respectively in the enterprise prosperity index，higher than the province's average level．The index for computer services and software sector reached 153.14，topping all consumer industries．

Meanwhile，the prosperity index for state-owned businesses in the province hit 152.09 in the first quarter，climbing 8.69 points on a yearly basis and taking a lead among various registered firms．In addition，the province's pillar industries such as electronics manufacturing maintained a good momentum of growth．Equipment manufacturing sector reported a high index in profit prosperity，statistics show．

At present，over 60 percent of all entrepreneurs provincewide keep optimistic that the macro economy will maintain its prosperity．Experts predicted the enterprise prosperity index would rise remarkably in the second quarter of this year．
